Aimed at building a progressive coalition of political and civil activists and emerging as a new voice in Iranian politics, for the 1st conference, we will convene in Berlin on Friday evening, 24 February 2023 through Sunday 26 February 2023, together with participants from all over Germany for a “movement conference”.

On Friday, the conference will begin with various opportunities for participants to get to know each other through plenty of networking and trust-building activities! Then we will continue with an Introduction to the importance of having a progressive Coalition, followed by group discussions.
On Saturday morning we will begin with parallel workshops on different topics relevant to collaboration in a coalition. Topics include but are not limited to: Relevant political processes in Germany and Europe in relation to Iran, principles of e-democracy, and Political communications, and fundamental values. In these workshops, participants will exchange their ideas with the help of facilitators.
Following the workshops, in the afternoon we will have co-creation sessions, where we will divide into different groups, and based on our individual or collective aspirations and experiences, we co-draft our shared values, goals, and organisation structures.
On Sunday, in a plenary dialogue, we will discuss the results of the co-creation sessions and further work on building a common ground. We will end the conference with a session discussing the future of Bahamad. Participants will be able to leave the conference with more clarity and aspiration.

The normal participation fee is 50 Euros. The solidary attendance fee is 150 Euros. We want to make the Conference as social and accessible as possible. It is therefore of utmost importance to us that the participation of people is not hampered due to financial difficulties. People with such a concern can contact us at event@bahamad.org. We will then send a voucher so they can sign up. To make this conference possible, we rely on your kind contribution.
